FF FAILURE’S FORTUNE

The fortune is in the failures.

What is Failure’s Fortune?

A place to share the real stories, learn from each other’s mistakes, and skip a few of the expensive ones.

Learning Days.

Focused, hands-on sessions on one topic. Bring your laptop, grab a seat, and leave with a new skill you can put to work.

Failure Stories.

Builders share what went wrong, what it cost and what they’d do differently. No highlight reels.

Good Company.

Social outings with like-minded people who are building something. Dinners, events, retreats. Fun, without the empty networking.

Why Failure’s Fortune?

In Japan there’s a centuries-old art called kintsugi. When a bowl breaks, you don’t throw it away. You repair it with gold.

The bowl comes back stronger, and the cracks become the most beautiful, most valuable part of it.

Nobody builds anything without breaking a few things first. Most people hide that part. We think it’s the most useful part.

Every failure leaves a crack. Every lesson fills it with gold. Do that enough times and what you’re building gets stronger than it ever was before it broke.

Who’s it for?

You’re starting something, running something, or thinking about it.

You’d rather hear the real story than the highlight reel.

You want to keep learning, and be around people who push you.

You’ll fit right in.

What we believe.

  1. 01Failing is part of the process.
  2. 02Share the real story.
  3. 03Learn by doing.
  4. 04Help the next person.
  5. 05Keep going.

A NOTE FROM TREVOR

I’ve started 12 businesses. Most of them don’t exist anymore. Some closed, some I walked away from, a couple took everything I had. I’m still building, and I’m still making mistakes every week.

Every lesson I have came from something that broke. I don’t have it all figured out. Nobody does. But I’ve picked up a lot of lessons, people and tools along the way, and I’d rather share them than keep them to myself.

That’s what this is. Come share yours.

Trevor
